Turn of the Century Engineering Marvel
Photo taken along the historic Myra Canyon Stretch of the Kettle Valley Railway Grade on September 24th 2011. This 10km section had 18 trestles and 2 tunnels! The entire works burned down in a huge forest fire but was rebuilt to preserve the history after being designated a National Historic Site. Built from 1910 to 1916 it is a major engineering marvel of Canadian history. www.trailsbc.ca/okanagan_region/myra-canyon-history.html www.trailsbc.ca/okanagan_region/myra-canyon.html
